Children's
Atelier
The
Marini Museum has organised a special area inside the museum where
nursery, primary and middle school children can enjoy a series of
images and music inspired by this great artist from Pistoia. A vast
range of activities can be carried out in the new atelier, such
as personalised laboratories, itineraries, events and specific lessons,
all of which must be prepared according to the requirements of the
children's teachers. The Museum atelier moreover offers a series
of proposals to suit several different age groups:

Purposes
Goin' round the Marini Museum means
to set out on a search for the discovery of a language made of signs,
shapes and colours. All works in laboratory about this kind of language
mean to experiment every expressive chance about styles, technicals
and overall material. Material in Marino Marini play a leading role
allowing to understand better contents and shapes created by the
artist. On this subject Marino wrote: "I really love all materials
'cause when you completely understand them you've found the better
way to work them"

Aims
This didactic program has a leading
aim: to introduce people to the incredible Marino Marini art (both
specific features and his role in the artistic scenery of '900)
through practical experimentation of the same techniques used by
the artist, showing to the guys the same technical problems Marino
had to face during the process of realization of the works and the
utilization of various materials and expressive means. Only at the
end of laboratory time, when guys will finish the experimentation
with different approaches and practical studies of the materials,
they'll visit the permantent collection, underlining the various
solutions chosen by Marino, styles and poetics expressed by works.
All activities will take place since
november to april on tuesday and thursday. Opening time is 9,30
- 11,30 and all didactic routes are completely free.
